BISHOP ROJAS APPOINTED TO DIOCESE OF SAN BERNARDINO

NCCHM’s Episcopal Liaison is New Coadjutor Bishop

Bishop Alberto Rojas, former Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Chicago, was appointed Coadjutor Bishop for the Diocese of San Bernardino by Pope Francis.

Bishop Rojas has served on five committees of the U.S Conference of Catholic Bishops and is the Lead Bishop for Region VII for the V Encuentro; he is also the Episcopal Liaison for the National Catholic Council for Hispanic Ministry (NCCHM) and the National Catholic Association of Diocesan Directors for Hispanic Ministry (NCADDHM

“There is a beauty and a challenge in becoming part of the Church Jesus Christ founded once we understand the purpose of His mission which is the salvation of souls. But we also know Jesus is in charge, He is with us, and has given us the Holy Spirit to lead our steps along the way.” said Bishop Rojas.

Our congratulations and continued prayers for Bishop Rojas.
