The National Catholic Council for Hispanic Ministry (NCCHM) celebrated its 28th Annual Membership Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland in September 2019. As part of the national gathering of Hispanic ministry leaders, participants took part in Advocacy Day, which was coordinated and led by Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and Bread for the World. For many of the annual meeting participants, this was the first time they had walked the halls of the US Congress visiting the offices of their Congressional Representatives and Senators. CRS and Bread for the World prepared participants to advocate for TPS and DACA. Meeting participants also divided into groups to help continue the mission and vision of NCCHM.
NCCHM Board of Directors and Members expressed its heartfelt gratitude to Lia Salinas, Director of Hispanic Ministry in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, the Archdiocese of Baltimore, and the priests for their welcome, support, and the liturgies.
