ENG: “For 1 Millennial who comes to the Church in the USA, 6 leave. What is our response to this? If we are bureaucrats, we have to resign. Just because you know theology or philosophy, or you know how to analyze some statistics, doesn’t mean you know the reason why young people are leaving. And for that you have to listen to them, you have to listen to their voice.”
At Raíces y Alas Congress, Washington, DC, April 2022, Martin Soros gave a 15 min. speech after being granted the “ALAS DE LA PASTORAL HISPANA” Award, Wings of Hispanic Ministry.
ESP: “De 1 millennial que llega a la Iglesia en EEUU, se van 6. ¿Qué respuesta damos a esto? Si somos burócratas, tenemos que renunciar. Solo porque uno sepa de teología o de filosofía, o sepa analizar algunas estadísticas, no significa que sepa la razón por la cual se van los jóvenes. Y para eso los tienes que escuchar, tienes que escuchar su voz”.
